Thanks for posting the video. The girls thought this would be a fun project for this afternoon.

We took bamboo steaks, trimmed, tempered, sanded. Made cheater's reeds from soda straws and started making holes.

BTW, if anyone has a how-to on making bamboo reeds and double reeds I would really like to learn.TIA.

Above you can see the size, below you can hear the results. Sorry, I just ran through some notes to check intonation and volume, No real sense to the notes.

I am very surprised by how loud such a small reed instrument is.
